Clinical chemistry laboratory ...

Clinical chemistry laboratory also known as clinical biochemistry, chemical pathology or pure blood chemistry is branch of Laboratory Medicine that is generally concerned with analysis of body fluids to help physician to investigate and explain biological processes and pathophysiological changes by applying chemical procedures and principles.

Departments' Goals :
Biochemical investigations goals are involved in every branch of clinical medicine.
Each biochemical test measures the value of a different substance in the blood.
These values provide information on the function of different organ systems kidney, liver, etc. or the risk for certain diseases diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, etc. A physician uses these tests in conjunction with personal medical history, a complete physical examination and other tests to assess the overall state of a person's health.
